Let's Do the Time Warp Again

I love vintage clothing/jewelry, and when I find something that fits me {my person or my person-ality} I usually mix it with enough of my existing wardrobe to think very little or not at all of the time warp that I fashionally travel through.

This dress, though, was an exception. I felt like I was in 1963 the entire time I wore it. Forget about the footless tights, forget about the ballet flats {not pumps}, forget about the visible tattoos. It plain took me on a carnival ride out of my element.

Heck, it was fun.

Cold Weather {Black &} Blues

I'm not actually in that somber of a mood -- though the freezing temps, 50 mph wind & freezing rain/snow are not doing a lot to boost my affect -- I do seem to be prone to darks and florals these days for whatever reason. Style moods...

I've had these shoes for about 6 years now. I love them. I keep going out to buy a new pair of brown flats and I just can't seem to find any I like as much as these. They are classics in my own wardrobe. They came all crackly and worn-in, but have gotten even more so since I bought them. I like their weathered, earthy feel.

Thursday -- still sunny. Can't even believe it. Baffled, joyful.

I bought this dress at a local vintage shop 4 or 5 years ago. It's polyester so even though I sometimes wear it in warmer weather, it really is best for layering temps. It reminds me of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The shoes & the bag are birthday presents from last year. The shoes from my mom and the bag from Peanut. I recommend checking out the website for these bags if you don't like to switch satchels (as much as I don't like to).
