Erin Go Bragh

Well, I did promise the return of the 30-for-30 in my next outfit post, but I decided that I just had to make one exception for the holiday I love so dearly; St. Patrick's Day!
I did it up Oscar style this year {no, I didn't wear a green gown -- though that would've been awesome}, but I did do a mid-evening ensemble switch. Here is my first go; what I wore to work + out for our first stop at an Irish pub {coffee & Bailey's for this tired working girl} and dinner {Smithwick's & wings}...

tee, cardigan, scarf & belt: Target, skirt: Wet Seal {about 7 yrs old}, tights: We Love Colors, cuffed ballet flats: Geneva, Switzerland, earrings: Electric Fetus {gift}, headband: Forever21 {gift}

And this was my latter-half of the night getup. We headed over to a friend's place and walked to a party {Jameson was passed around. I did not partake}, so I needed something a little more comfy. Enter: the green sundress {"Old Reliable"}...

It's My Party & I'll Veg if I Want To

My birthday started out with a quiet tap-tap on Peanut's shoulder (he is famously prone to resisting all things morning ~ this is a gross understatement, in fact). He grumbled, "What?" and then gasped, "Happy Happy Happy Birthday!!!!" and commenced in an instant tap-dance song. Frankly, if I ever got out of bed that abruptly I would probably throw up, faint or both. It was adorable.

After an amazing breakfast a la Peanut (+ mimosas!), we headed to the vintage store where I found and was given some perfect treasures, then off for last minute Halloween detail errands before ordering my favorite dinner (I was ready to tuck in after a night followed by a day of so much out-ness) & then...cake and presents!

I may have turned another year older, but when it comes to lovin up my bday, I haven't aged a day.

little house on the prairie

Thursday -- still sunny. Can't even believe it. Baffled, joyful.

I bought this dress at a local vintage shop 4 or 5 years ago. It's polyester so even though I sometimes wear it in warmer weather, it really is best for layering temps. It reminds me of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

dress: vintage, cardigan: Merona, scarf: Target, navy tights: Gap, mary-janes: Dansko, bag: Miche, frillie: handmade by Adeline. :)

The shoes & the bag are birthday presents from last year. The shoes from my mom and the bag from Peanut. I recommend checking out the website for these bags if you don't like to switch satchels (as much as I don't like to).
